Cliff’s story

The inability to achieve an erection after the radical prostatectomy, and the failure of the pills and external vacuum device, left me feeling very low.

It was a major low depressed mood that made me feel as though I was the only man in the world who suffered from this condition. I did not confide in my friends or relatives about this and felt totally isolated.

What I have come to find out is that you are NOT alone in this. “There is a light at the end of the tunnel” that may give you and your partner a new outlook on life and your personal relationship.

The information that I gained from speaking to my physician gave me several options I had no idea existed for the treatment of ED. After speaking to my physician at length about these options, my spouse and I decided on the penile implant and couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Once the swelling resolves, I could feel the implant for about one month. After the month was over, I can tell you that unless I go to use the implant, I really do not know that it is there. It becomes part of you. I have never had any time when there was any indication of the implant that I was aware of.

I was so depressed when I suffered from erectile dysfunction that it affected every part of my life. I felt like I was not a full man and could not please my partner as a “real” man could. However, after the surgery, I regained all my self-esteem and felt once again like a young man. Having the implant changed my life and brought back my vitality and joy of living.

People heal at different rates depending on their unique physiology. In my case, I was able to drive one week after the surgery. I returned to work after two weeks.
